James Shaw

Accountant

Having previously worked for the VAT Department at HMRC, James joined Inglis Chartered Accountants at the start of 2022, where he is now working towards gaining his ACA qualification. This has been a great experience as he has been enabled to further his knowledge of other areas of tax and accounting in a supportive and close-knit team.

His love of problem-solving and of helping people in whatever way he can has naturally pulled him towards a career in accountancy. James really enjoys the being able to get to grips with the data given to him in order to understand the performance of a business.

Outside of work, James enjoys traveling and trying my hand at learning languages which has previously led to him living in France and China where he was able to teach English to students of EFL.
