A Force For Good
Our vision is to inspire businesses to be brilliant, as ultimately this is the only way to achieve our aim of reducing global poverty.
On a practical level this means that for every tax return and set of accounts we prepare, an amount is donated to the partners we are proud to support: Wetwheels Yorkshire CIC and Kitchen for Everyone York.
We are trying to be a force for good and ultimately make the world a better place – it just so happens we achieve this through brilliant business and accountancy advice so that the world of abundance can exist for all and that ultimately poverty can be eliminated.
How we achieve our goals
In order to live up to our high standards of being a business for good, we strive to meet these 10 criteria which collectively cover care for employees, suppliers, customers and the environment whilst paying our fair share of tax.
We pay directly employed staff and regularly contracted staff the real living wage as set out by the Living Wage Foundation.
We take a fair approach to zero hours contracts, including fair shift scheduling and cancellation policy.
We have transparent policies that support employee well-being and ban unreasonable penalties for legitimate sickness.
We work with representatives to ensure there is a voice that represents employees around the boardroom table.
We monitor the diversity of our workforce and are commitment to close the gender, disability and ethnicity pay gaps.
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance.
We pay our fair share of tax, and do not engage in tax avoidance and commit to be transparent with HMRC.
We publish our commitment to our customers. We also monitor feedback and report the results to our leadership team.
We are committed to the standards set out in the ETI Base Code for sourcing through a process of continuous due diligence.
We pay our suppliers promptly to show them respect, treating them as we would wish to be treated.
